PROBEHISTORY
THE PROBERS are individuals who moved forward without fear.....building a transformative legacy with each step.
The History of the Probers has been riddled with changes. Like their prophetic song 'Take it Like a Man' exclaims, "...take the good and the bad and take it like a man", they did and forged forward, breaking new ground in a profusion of different ways. Their fortitude set the bar higher than most musicians or artists dare to venture. With everything they set out to accomplish, they pushed ahead to reach their goals without hesitation.
Not only has the band been fortunate enough to be laden with great musicians, they built an army of partners along the way. Venue owners, journalists, radio and television personalities, venture capitalists, a top tier road crew, a formidable staff, producers, engineers, international artists and icons, as well as an ever growing populace of dedicated fans. The band understood the importance of every piece of the puzzle and those around them recognized their significance.
In the many years that the band spent recording, they attracted those who, like the band itself, were forces in the industry. This put them in the path of producers and engineers who had worked with a long list of influential and legendary icons: composer/producer Jim Cretecos (Bruce Springsteen, ABC Network, David Cassidy, etc.), multi instrumentalist/producer, Kevin Falvey (American Standard Band/Joe Coker/ The Spectres, etc.), musician/producer/ engineer, Phil Greene (Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ringo Starr, Herbie Hancock, Peter Wolf, Buddy Guy, Steve Earle, Bob Weir, Parliament, etc.), engineer/producer, Tom Soares (Eryka Badu, Britney Spears, Peter Wolf, Mark Wahlberg, NKOTB, Biohazard, Destiny's Child, The Roots, Billy Cobham, etc.) producer, David Correia ( Boston, The Beach Boys, Jefferson Starship, George Thorogood & The Delaware Destroyers, David Duchovny, Englebert Humperdinck, Charlie Musselwhite, etc.).
In the decade-long run of THE PROBERS, these strong musicians and true individuals worked to create music that wasn't safe, politically correct or derivative.
Only music that would ultimately become,
THE LEGACY OF THE PROBERS.
